Finance Manager

  Central Malta  |  €40,000 - €44,000 Annually 

A Boutique Hotel is currently on the lookout for a Finance Manager to join the team

Duties include:

  • Aids the Financial Controller in setting departmental plans and objectives.
  • Supports in developing and maintaining financial policies and procedures.
  • Processes and verifies business transaction details.
  • Manages general ledgers, including account analysis and journal entries.
  • Reconciles bank accounts, statements, and records, taking corrective actions when necessary.
  • Assists in preparing financial statements and VAT returns.
  • Provides assistance in budgeting processes and cash flow management.
  • Helps with financial analysis as needed.
  • Participates in monitoring budget performance and operational KPIs.
  • Prepares various ad hoc and periodic reports.
  • Provides guidance to Finance and Accounts clerical personnel.
  • Executes necessary actions based on auditors' recommendations.
  • Ensures timely payment of creditors and invoicing of debtors.
  • Ensures adherence to financial policies and procedures outlined in company guidelines.
  • Maintains accurate and secure finance records in compliance with legislative requirements.
  • Cultivates effective relationships with external partners, clients, and suppliers.
  • Offers recommendations for departmental process improvements and efficiencies.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2/3 years experience in accounting ideally coming from a client accounting background
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English

Education and Experience

  • In the last stages of ACCA or Fully Qualified
