Yacht Technician

A well-established client of ours is searching for a Yacht Technician to join their organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper maintenance and upkeep of their fleet of yachts.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance tasks on yachts, including electrical system checks, plumbing repairs, and cosmetic upkeep.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues as they arise.
• Conduct inspections and assessments of yachts to identify maintenance needs and recommend repairs or upgrades.
• Coordinate with other team members to schedule and prioritize maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and ensure optimal vessel performance.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and any recommendations for future maintenance.
• Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and technological advancements in yacht maintenance.

Requirements

• Candidates must already reside in Malta, with the legal right to work in Malta
• Fluency in English; Maltese is preferred
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team

Education and Experience

• Qualification related to maintenance, electrical, mechanical or plumbing is a must
• Prior experience in mechanical, electrical maintenance, HVAC or plumbing works is highly desired
• Candidates with Proven experience in yacht maintenance, with a strong understanding of marine systems and components will be preferred
